About Us

Beautycounter was created by a Mom by the name of Gregg Renfrew and she was looking of saver products and nothing on the market was safe. She had become more aware of environmental health and started looking at other countries and those regulations. Personal care products in the USA is so poorly regulated, she compared with the European Union where they ban over 1,400 harmful and toxic chemicals from there personal care products where as the USA only bans 30!!!! Here in Canada we ban 600! Gregg knew she had to do something. With that Beautycounter was born, our mission is ‘to get safer products into the hands of everyone’. Here we ban over 1,500 harmful and questionable ingredients from our products. Not only that Beautycounter is sold by a network of like minded women and men to help spread the mission and at the same time our company along with Gregg Renfrew is lobbying the government for change! These harmful and questionable ingredients have been linked to hormone disruptions, cancers, infertility and other health issues. We all deserve better! What we put on our skin get into our bodies.
